I know, I know. It's been like 2 months. But I'm back!
I wanted to share my Tula Pink quilt block. It's the churn dash block that so many of us know and love. It's awesome and, oh so, simple. This will help you make your own 12" block.

Fabric Cuts
From main fabric, cut:
2 - 4 7/8 inch squares
4 - 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch rectangles
1 - 4 1/2 inch square
From accent fabric, cut:
2 - 4 7/8 inch squares
4 - 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch rectangles
2 - 4 7/8 inch squares
4 - 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch rectangles
1 - 4 1/2 inch square
From accent fabric, cut:
2 - 4 7/8 inch squares
4 - 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch rectangles
With the 4 7/8 squares from both fabrics, place one accent right sides facing on one main fabric. Using a ruler, draw a line from top left corner down to bottom right corner. Using this as a guide, sew 1/4 inch from the line on one side. Cut threads at end, turn and sew 1/4 inch down other side of the line. Cut in half along the line. Voile. Half Square Triangles (HST). Repeat for the other 4 7/8 squares.
For the rectangles, sew one main and one accent fabric to each other. Place accent on main, right sides facing, sew along one of the long sides. If you have directional fabric, make sure you have your fabrics lined up so that they face the way you want them to face when sewn.
Press all of your seams open.

Lay out your block to what most pleases you. Sew the blocks to each other, making 3 rows. Press seams.
`Now comes the tricky part. Sew the rows together, but make sure you line up your seams. You may want to pin your seams so that you don't end up with a wonky block and have to bust out the seam ripper. Womp! No fun!
Sew the two seams. Press open. Trim up your block so that it is an even 12" all around.

You're done! Sew up a few more and you have yourself a quick quilt top. You could even make it a bigger version and have a one block quilt. Or you could shrink it down and make it a mini. The possibilities are endless.
*This fabric is all Tula Pink. The light blue is from her Moon Shine line. The gray, unfortunately, I'm not sure. Moon Shine is one of her newest. I am in LOVE with it. The scenes are just fantastic.
