In December, I got crazy excited about all of the Christmas quilts that I could make. I found two that I really wanted to do:
1. Last Minute Christmas Sampler by Julianna Gasiorowsk of Sewing Under Rainbow
2. Have Yourself a Quilty Little Christmas by Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet
Unfortunately, because I had to wait for my order of her book Quilty Fun to arrive, I got too far behind and never started the Quilty little Christmas quilt. I will definitely be doing it, though. The blocks are so fun!
An awesome thing about the quilt from Julianna is that all of the blocks are free through Craftsy! SCORE! It's all paper piecing blocks, and they are just so amazing. Here are my 12.

There you have it. I haven't, yet, put them together. I need to decide what sashing color I want to use and any accents.
I can't speak highly enough of Julianna and her patterns. She is so thorough in her design of each piece that putting them together is a breeze. She has marks for each seam to line up on and even includes the 1/4" inseam in the pieces. I don't piece the traditional, freezer paper way, so it's nice to be able to just print, cut, and piece. She has a ton of other patterns and tutorials that I HIGHLY suggest you look into if you enjoy piecing. I am working on her Warsaw Mermaid block as well as one of her firsts, the Christmas truck block.
Please check out her blog and let me know how you fare on your piecing. I can't wait to see your work.
Keep sweating and sewing!
