Going through my instagram feed, I found the IT bag. THE bag that would be not too "hot", not too "cold", but just right.
For the width-of-bag interior pockets, I decided to make one a patchwork pocket. (Actually, I ran out of enough fabric of one to make a pocket wide enough, so I had the "happy accident" of making a patchwork.)
I think my favorite thing about this bag is the waratagh flower print on the outsides. I just cannot get enough of that orange, blue and grey together. Genius! All of the prints come from the very talented Emma Jean Jansen. This line is the first of her Terra Australis prints. She has Terra Australis 2 out now. It reached the states about a month or so ago and it's just as rich in color and print as the first. Needless to say, I have FQB of both colorways. (I still am in LOVE with those 'roos, though.)
I can't believe how quick, and rather easily, this bag came together...vinyl being the exception, of course. :)
I am so excited to use this and make one for some of my sewing friends. It's definitely on the HOT GIFT list this birthday, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, etc. season.
