There's something really cool about teaching your best friend something you love to do.
She came in September, from Cali, and I hadn't seen her in a year or so. Boo. I was so excited to see her, and so was my family. Anyway, I always send her pics of the sewing projects I did. In fact, as a Christmas gift for her before she left on her mission trip to Haiti, I made her a, rather awesome, quilt with a green minky back. She loved it.

Of course, she wanted to make something when she was here. So we did.
Two things, actually. One was a cute little keychain wallet that she could keep her phone and cards in while on the run.

What can I say? She has great taste. Cotton and Steel are divine. She has some Sarah Watson in there too.
The other thing was a pillow cover.

We fussy cut the heck out of that thing...it came out awesome! All Cotton and Steel for the front. Some Anna Maria Horner and Cotton and Steel for the back.
